Our chess tournaments in the previous years were certainly of the most prestigious business events . From setting to content, from sponsors to attendees: both events were absolutely evenings to remember.

This year we will organize this chess event for the fifth time. And we are glad to have Mr. Kasparov, former world champion (1985-2000) as our guest once more. Even More! We are proud to announce that chess grandmasters, Garry Kasparov and Nigel Short, are ready to pit their wits against each other again in a blitz duel 18 years after their controversial battle for the world championship in London. This time the venue will be Belgium.

This competition is part of the program that the organisers of Your Next Move are planning for the organisation’s 5th anniversary celebration this year. Both chess grandmasters will start the duel in the early evening of Sunday 9 October 2011.

On October 11th 2011, Grandmaster Garry Kasparov will play chess against a dozen other players in a simultaneous chess tournament. Mr. Kasparov’s opponents will be business executives nominated by the different companies partnering with and sponsoring this exclusive business event.

As chess requires the same competencies entrepreneurs are looking for on the work floor, it is obvious we need to support chess in schools and make it more popular amongst young children. That is why we also actively seek the participation of these youngsters.

Therefore we will invite all chess clubs and all primary schools to take part in a pre-tournaments held in various locations. The winners will get a seat at the table on Tuesday evening, and will oppose Mr. Garry Kasparov along with the business players.
